1、不能擅自改建室内装修

日本人对房屋非常看重，如果是租房的话，是不能够随意改变房间内的装潢和设施的，因为在租房的时候，签订的合同中会有标示，大家千万要记住。

如果要对房间进行改造，即便是很小的地方，也需要先向房东征询，获得允许之后，才能够动手。

这也是处于安全的考虑，因为日本房子设计都是非常精巧的，有些不起眼的地方，很有可能是承重的地方，所以不能够随便动。

2、不能随意接纳他人居住

如果是招待朋友暂时住一两天还是可以的，因为这样不会影响到周围的其他人。

但是如果是长住，那么是绝对不允许擅自决定的，一定要事先向房东进行说明，这是独特的日本社会习惯，是一个礼仪礼貌的问题，一般征询过房东之后，都是会允许的。
