Nowadays, we can find kids keep studying all the time, they work harder than before. One of the reasons is that their parents want their kids have advantages over others, so they hire tutors to help the kids with their homework, after school, kids start make up the lesson. As the kids study all the day at school, it is not good to continue study at home, they should have time to have fun.

As a student, they have much pressure, the parents put all their hopes on them, so the parents want their kids be a excellent student. So after school, students still have to study, they need to make up their homework with the help of the tutor. Parents would do everything to improve their kids’ study. So on the weekends, we see students no more go out for fun, they scarify their childhood on study. As a child, they should go out for fun and play with friends, homework is never being finished. Kids deserve to have rest, parents should not put too much pressure on their kids. Taking the lesson after school is good way to improve study, but kids need some rest, parents need to balance it.

As Chinese education system, students must study hard for better future, but sometimes too much attention on study will bring negative positive. Taking lessons after school must be proper.

My View on Taking After-school Classes(必备)

It is nothing new that many students go to take after-school classes now, but in my opinion, it’s just a waste of time and money. When I was in primary school, my parents sent me to different kinds of these classes, too. But later I realized I didn’t want to do that anymore. I began to spend more time on reading, doing sports and taking social activities. However, I didn’t fall behind any others in study.

If I have time, I will play basketball with my friends. It’s a wise way to stay in good health. I really enjoy it. Through playing basketball, I know how to cooperate with others, and I make a lot of friends, too. What’s more, I become stronger and taller. I have benefited a lot from it. And now I become more creative and confident than those who are always involved in taking after-school classes. I think students should spend more time on doing the things they like instead of going to after-school classes, thus we can live happier.

About Raising Kids

Today, I happened to read the news that most celebrities pay special attention to their kids’ education, when the baby was inborn, they had already planed the school, they order the school with good fame for the purpose that their kids can have the chance to enter the good school. Some parents even ask their kids to learn several skills in a time when the kids are in primary school. Every parent wants their kids to be the best, but it needs to step by step.

It is such common situation that most small kids need to take several after-class lessons, because the parents want their kids learn as more as possible, so they decide to send their children to learn many skills. In my opinion, the parents should not let their children learn so many classes in the early age, the kids need to spend some time to play with their friends, they need to breathe some fresh air. If the parents push them so much, the children will go against with the parents.

Every parent wants to raise their kids to be the excellent persons, but they must take the right way, they need to give their kids some freedom.

Let Kids Walk to the School(必备)

These days, inNanjingcity, taking a taxi to school is getting more and more fashionable amongmiddle-school students. Some of them are children of businessmen who arerelatively well-off. The parents of these children claim they can earn muchmoney easily and the yearly taxi fees spent by children mean nothing to them. But most parents must work very hard---some even have to find a second job toafford their children’s high consumption.

Parents’ love for their children is natural andunderstandable. They are not willing to let their children take the crowdedbuses and endure hardships of a long time bump. But this practice seems to domore harm than good to these kids. It is not simply a question of taking a taxi,it involves the parents’ education of their children in terms of charactercultivating and physical training in the making of a man. In my opinion, nomatter how wealthy a family is, they should not spoil their children in theprocess of personality development. Instead, they should do something to tempertheir children to endure hardship and torture of life and get self-dependent.They should let their children bear in mind that money does not come easily andanything cannot be achieved without sweat and tears. So they should not takeeverything for granted.

Our younger generations should have a comprehensivedevelopment, intellectually, physically and ethically. At present, it issurprising that moral education and character training for children are oftenignored. Let’s remember what Helen Keller, a blindUSwriter, says, “Character cannotbe developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and sufferingcan the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and successachieved.”

Parents and Kids

Many parents who welcome the idea of turning off TV and spending more time with the family are still worded that without TV they would constantly be on call as entertainers for their children. They remember thinking up all sorts of things to do when they were kids. But their own kids seem different, less resourceful, somewhat. When there's nothing to do,these parents observe regretfully, their kids seem unable to come up with anything to do besides turning on TV.

One father, for example, says,"When I was a kid, we were always thinking up things to do. We certainly never complain in an annoying way to our parents: '1 have nothing to do! ' "He compares this with his own children today:"They're simply lazy. If someone doesn't entertain them, they' II hap-pily sit there watching TV all day."

There is one word for this father's disappointment: unfair. He deplores his children' s lack of inventiveness, as if the ability to play were something innate that his children are missing. In fact, while the tendency to play is built into the human species, the actual ability--to imagine, to invent, toelaborate--and the ability to gain fulfillment from it are skills that have to be learned and developed.

Such disappointment, however, is not only unjust, it is also destructive. Sensing their parents' disappointment, children come to believe that they are, indeed, lacking something, and that this makes them less worthy of admiration and respect. Giving children the opportunity to develop new re-sources, to enlarge their horizons and discover the pleasures of doing things on their own is, on the other hand, a way to help children develop a confident feeling about themselves as capable and interesting people.

Can you believe that a boy who is about 8 years old is the master of giving advice on love relationship? This funny incident happened in America. A little boy was doing his business on the street, he earned just one dollar each person. Of course, people did not come for advice, and all they needed was a good listener.

Most people feel depressed today. In the public occasion, the powerful person is in charge of everything, who is the shinning star and enjoys to be followed by others. While most people have less chance to express themselves. Sometimes they need to listen to their inner voices, that’s why the little boy’s business is favored.

To be a good listener can help us to learn things. Once a celebrity said that a good listener was not only popular everywhere, but after a while he also got to know something. When we learn to know how others feel about the same incident, we start to consider the way we deal with it. Am I too forced? Or do I forget others? So we can know better how to deal with things next time.

According to a recent article on Newsweek concerning children’s’ education, there is an increasing number of parents worrying their kids to an extreme extent, depriving them of independence and freedom by keeping them around parents all the time.

Some people applaud this phenomenon, suggesting that kids’ safety is the most important. Thus, they’d better not enter the hazardous society without supervision unless they become adults. From my point of view, some of their opinion is correct but keeping children away from independence is a completely erroneous decision. The reasons are as follows:有一些人十分支持这样的观点,并声称孩子的安全是最最重要的。

First and foremost, “locking kids” may hinder their healthy growth, both mentally and physically. The kids who are locked may have heavy reliance on their parents, as their comprehensive skills such as communication skills or cooperative spirit being prevented from developing.

Secondly, what these parents fail to see is the fact that the crime rate and accidents aren’t on a rapid rise. It is the abuse of mass media that make crimes and violencemore scary. The parents, who love their kids so much, are completely forced to live under the illusion that our society is full of riots or threats of accidents. Thus, kids can be allowed to have more freedom such as walking to school by himself, for instance.

From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that kids should be given more freedom by parents’ effort. At the same time, parents should take many factors into consideration such as the time restriction for children and the evaluation tokids’ maturity and capability. Only thencan they enjoy a safe and meaningful childhood.

The Impact of Television on Children(必备)

Withthe rapid development of modernization, television becomes a necessity in everyhouse. Recently, a research shows that 95% of children form the habit ofwatching TV for long hours every day, which makes teachers and parents panic, because watching TV for long hours may have very negative effects on thechildren.

Thebad influence of watching TV for long hours covers the following points. Firstof all, there are a lot of illegal programs which may lead the children to thewrong way or form the wrong values. Secondly, with plenty of series to choosefrom, children become less interested in taking exercises. TV has kept childrenindoor while they should spend time playing outside. Thirdly, the excessivewatching TV can lower the children’s ability to study.

Undoubtedly,it is high time that parents should help the children to deal with the relationwith the TV. Also, children ought to do some creative things like reading, singing, painting, and running instead of sitting in front of the TV all daylong.

Whether Should Children be Allowed to Bring Cell phones to School【精】

Recently, there was a heated discussion over children's education. The question under debate is that whether children should be allowed to bring cell phones to school. When asked about this, options are divided. For the supporters, they think that they can keep in touch with their kids so that they can exactly know what happens to them. And if there is anything bad occurs they could give their kids guidance at the first time.

When my eyes caught this topic, my mind began its search for the better one. Although cell phones have played an increasing important role in our common life, which brings us a lot of benefits, I do not think it's wise to allow our kids to bring cell phones. First of all, the cell phones equipped with many entertainments will become a time-killer. Kids will spend their precious time in playing games instead of studying. And then what's worse, there may also be phenomenon of life comparison among children which will do great harm to them. Last but equally important is that radiations from mobile phone which may have a detrimental effect on children's body health.

Taking all these into consideration, we can reach the conclusion easily that children should not be allowed to bring cell phones to school.

Playing Team Sports Is Good for Students(必备)

Whenit comes to team sports in university will help students be successful in life, there is no completely agreement, some people advocate that team sports play akey role in students' life while others think doing sports is wasting time andstudents should focus on their study .Weighing up these two ideas, I prefer theformer one.

Ihave three reasons to support my view. Firstly, playing team sports helpstudents cooperate with others more easily and enhance their teamconsciousness. When students play team sports, they have chance to demonstratetheir leadership and train their executive ability. They may support each otherwhen they meet problems, and share happiness when they win in the game. Thisexperience makes them matured and understands the real meaning of unity. These studentsalways do things at the big picture, and often are recruited easily by bigcompanies than other students.

Secondly, students' body will increasingly heath if they do more exercise. There is nodoubt that student who do physical exercise regularly grow stronger andhealthier than those who don’t. Besides, after taking physical exercises, students usually become refreshed and can return to class work moreenergetically. What's more, students could exercise a good figure if theyinsist doing sports. Boys will have much muscle and girls will be thinner. Theywill be more confident than before.

Thirdly, playing team sports not only is a bridge for students to build friendship, butalso help them learn communicating skills. In a team, students have sameinterest which will take them short time to be familiar with each other. Inaddition, students need train together, share their achievement together andovercome the hardship together. This experience has established a deepfoundation to their friendship. Furthermore, when they get alone with eachother, they could learn how to speak in an appropriate way and how to avoidconflicts with members.

Fromthe foregoing, I could draw the conclusion that playing team sports in schoolhave benefits to students’ life due to its unique charm. I advise students tojoin in team sports as soon as possible and it won’t make them disappointed.

How to Help Kids to be Independent

In China, being a parent means a lot of responsibilities. Most parents get used to planning all the things for their kids, such as arranging schools and even the marriage. As the overprotection from the adults, the kids lack of strong will and rely on others so much. Parents should pay attention to help the kids become independent.

Firstly, never worry about the mistakes that children may make. As they are young and full of energy, they are so eager to experience new things. The old parents always stop them to try, for avoiding getting hurt. But mistakes help them to grow up, for example, if a small kid never touch the hot pot, he will never have the idea how hot it is, no matter how many times they have been told.

Secondly, when children ask for help, just offer them little help instead of doing everything for them. When children meet problems, they will think of their parents immediately. The wise parents will guide the children to solve problems. They expect their children can learn the skills and solve the same trouble by themselves next time.
