With the process of the WesternDevelopment, a growing number of students are volunteered to be a teacher inwestern area. In my point of the view, volunteer teaching in the west isbeneficial to both the volunteers themselves and the children in the west.

For one thing, volunteers canbenefit a lot from their volunteer teaching. To help the children in the poorarea, they will feel proud and create a sense of achievement; to learn to livein an under-developed area, they will strengthen their living skills andabandon their habit of luxury and waste as well as establish the concept offrugality; to serve as volunteers, they will enjoy the happiness of making acontribution to our society, which is good for their psychological health.

For another thing, those childrenwho receive the education can also benefit a lot. Volunteer teaching not onlyprovides a good chance for them to receive education and increase theirknowledge but also brings more attention and warm to them. To some extent, thevolunteers set a good example to those children in contributing our society.

Except the above benefits, volunteer teaching is also an important method to increase our nationaleducation and achieve education equality. To sum up, volunteer teaching in thewest will bring a lot benefits in many aspects, so we should encourage studentsto take part in it.

Chinahas a very long and brilliant history, whosepeople are so friendly and hospitable. But I am wondering why some people paysuch little attention to the environment and nature. In many places of thecountryside, rivers have become stinking sewers and brooks have disappeared.Heaps of garbage obstructs the scarce flow of dirty water. The grounds arelittered with plastic bottles and bags. People are cutting down trees eventhough it is illegal. In some towns, rubbish is hidden behind walls. Garbagecans are often of little use, making cleaners must rush all day long and alsoby night to clean the rubbish.

This lack of consideration for nature in general isextremely detrimental to children’s education, toChina’s image, to public health, totourism and to the future.Chinais the common treasure of all Chinese, and we should live up to be a member ofthis big family, a descendant of 5000-year-plus ancient civilized country. Ithink the environment must absolutely be strictly protected by all means. Thisprotection should go at the same pace as the marvelous development of thenation.

In this respect,Germanyis a rare model and leavesme a very deep impression. After you have an exciting tour around in thiscountry for a week or so, it is unnecessary for you to polish your leathershoes. Personally, first of all, the strong awareness of people’s environmentalprotection; then, the advanced technology applied in the field of preservingthe nature; We can learn form others in building China into one of the most environmentallyfriendly places in the world.

Think a minute! You've probably heard the expression “A leopard can’t change its spot.” Which, of course, is true of leopards. But is it true of people? Can people change? Are we human just creatures of habit? Do we not have any control over our actions and habits?

One guy said, “Bad habits are like a comfortable bed: they’re easy to get into, but hard to get out of.” Someone else said, “The chains of habits takes effort, yet one of the greatest freedoms in life is the freedom from bad habits.

Habits are like the roads we take through life everyday. The problem is not every road takes us where we need to go. Our routes through life become our ruts in life, which we end up stuck in and find it hard to dig ourselves out. That’s why we must change our bad habits as soon as possible before they become our “second nature”, because our habits become our character and our character becomes our life. As one wise person said, “First we make our habits, then our habits make us.”

But we humans don’t like to change, do we? So we come up with excuses, like: “I can’t be different, that’s just the way I am.” Or “I was born this way.” And the good old saying: “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” But that’s just it, we’re not dogs or animals. In fact, we’re the only creatures who have the freedom and power to change and choose the kind of person we want to become. So what habits do you need to start changing today?

精彩文章生存就是竞争Life is Struggle(收藏)

Everything in the world is in constant struggle, 'struggle' in the sense of competition in natural selection among organisms.

Animals and plants struggle for their existence. Nature provides them with weapons for that struggle. Lions have claws; fish have scales; roses have thorns. They use their weapons for the un-avoidable war of existence. Nature also orders us to struggle;when we obey Nature, we win our existence.

The result of struggle is the evolution of a better society. In order to surpass others, one has to devote himself to what he does. If every individual does so. the society will make progress.

Struggle is inevitable. But we should struggle with sportsmanship, not stand in the way of others in order to achieve our own success. It is Only by struggling in such a way that mankind will see a world getting more glorious day by day.

精彩文章The Long March 长征

If there is anyone who still doubts that China is a nation of diligence and bravery, the Long March is definitely one of the most persuasive evidences. Taking a whole year to achieve, suffering all sorts of difficulties, it would be a great miracle in human race.

In October, 1934, the Red Army began their march from Ruijin, Jiangxi Province because of the failure of the fifth counter-encirclement. Going westward with unimaginable effort to break through 4 blockade lines, they arrived at Xiang River in December. In the middle January, 1935, after the occupation of Zunyi, the Red Army held the well-known “Zunyi Meeting”, at which Mao Zedong’s leadership was established. Then, they amazingly crossed the Jinsha River which made them cast off the besiegement of KMT. And they went on the march northward, passing through Daliang Mountain, capturing Luding Bridge, and crossing the Jiajin Mountain perennially covered with snow. In the middle of June, the Red Fourth Army was joined forces. Aiming at setting up three more basements, the whole mixed army was divided into two parts to plod through grasslands. Having won several campaigns on the way to north, the Red Army finally got to Wuqi Town, which was the early end of the Long March.

Although this was not the eventual end of the Long March, every step remained in 14 provinces had absolutely reflected the Long-March spirit which would always be the highest expression of the Chinese people's being indomitable and constantly striving to become stronger.

Nowadays, more andmore university students find it hard to find a good job after graduation. However, the employers also fint it difficult in hiring a suitabale staff at the sametime. Why does this happens? I think there must be something related to thegraduates.

First of all, manyemployers find that most students have nothing working experience concerningwith their major. As students’ main job in school is study, employer should notmake too high requirement to them actually. But students should have aninternship before entering the society or at least have a concept about the jobrelated to their specialized subject. Most students know nothing except thetextbook, which makes them feel hard to get start. What’s worse, some graduatesdon’t learn well in school. They neither have experience nor master the theoreticalknowledge. In addition, the majority of students are the little prince andprincess at home. They haven’t suffered any hardship with the protection oftheir parents. As a result, they can’t endure hardship or easily give up whenmeeting difficulties.

To summarize, thegraduates should try their best to improve themseves to get out theembarrassing situation of finding jobs. That also makes recruiting much moresmoothly. I firmly believe this situation will be better in the future.

Afterknowing the bad news, my friend, Li Hang, came to my house and stayed with me. Hetried his best to make me happy and forgot the terrible thing. I still rememberwhat he said, no matter what happened, I will stay with you all the time. I wasdeeply moved. He persuaded me to go out to walk with him. Sometimes, he justwalked quietly beside me.

InChina, the problem about immoral behavior in public has been widely reported.Chinese people always said that is because the low population quality withself-mockery.

Recently, there was a video shown that a youngcouple carrying a baby in the subway, and they let the baby peeing inside thesubway car. Young couples were denounced by the passengers, who do not care atall. What’s perhaps most shocking, the young father even wanted to kick a ladywho were willing to offer a plastic bag as a toilet for the baby. Theuncivilized behavior of the young couple is intolerable and disgusting.

Inthe first place, public place belongs to every citizens, we should keep itclean but not to ruin it. In a small way, the behavior in public representpersonal quality, people could learn straightly what kind of person you are byyour manner, if you litter everywhere you want, you are a low quality people, not to mention indiscriminately defecate on land. In a big way, if you act likethat in foreign country, that could be a shame for our Chinese nation.

Inthe second place, the growing path of the baby is worrying. The immoralbehavior in public shows that the level of quality that the young couple have. The impact from parents could be huge. The baby might easily grow up into theperson just like his father, misbehavior, testiness and bellicosity. Parentsshould set a good example for children, but not to teach them an error concept.

Ina word, is our obligation to behavior polite in public, not only for ourselves, but also for a more comfortable public environment.

The importance of trees is mainly featured in following aspects. First, it is well-known that trees provide us with woods and other products. In addition, trees are very helpful in preventing water loss and soil erosion and keeping the nutrition of soil. Finally, trees have a great contribution in purifying air and make our environment be fresher.
