It was an intensive 2 year process, and one that taught me no matter how much you put on your plate, if you are committed to achieving excellence in all of your duties, it is possible—you just need to make the time. The program required the completion of many intensive group projects and my team and I were able to complete cases, write up management reports, and present them to a simulated board of directors—all of which has helped to build my confidence in my abilities and teach me that the benefits of team work in the business world are just as essential as team work on the soccer field.

A teacher of mine once told me that if you were good at art, you would be good at accounts. It was hard to find his logic at first, but having spent two years doing GCSE Art and a further two on Accounts A Level, it all began to make sense. You need logic; everything has a set order and method. Each piece is placed carefully and has a high significance amongst its environment. You need analytical skills. Take apart every piece of information and use it to make your own decisions.

Having excelled in both these exams, I can proudly say that I possess the skills that will lead me to university. I have developed an interest in studying accounts or and would therefore like to continue doing so at university. The course that I would like to do at university is Business Accounts or Accounts and Finance. I feel that the two subjects combine well with one another and on many occasions I have founds that my knowledge of one has helped me with the other. Studying Maths and Business has also provided me with logic and a greater understanding of various concepts and methods. I have become more flexible in identifying what concepts need to be used and when, thus, helping me achieve the greatest results possible. I have the ability to pick up skills and knowledge quickly and am independent enough to conduct my own study and research. On many occasions at college I have taught myself various chapters in maths in order to remain ahead of the class.

My main ambition for the future is to become an Accountant Executive or a Financial Advisor. I am hoping university will provide me with an understanding of the business world as well as offering me a wide range of choices and connections after my course. However, I have also helped to teach mathematics. I have taken part in a project at school where we taught younger pupils the basics of maths. From a very early age I remember pondering questions that were, to me, seemingly unanswerable: what existed before the Big Bang? Why is a paperclip attracted to a magnet? Now that I am older and have a wider knowledge of current physics, I can contemplate other, more involved questions. How is it possible that a cat can be alive and dead at the same time? What exactly is holding an atom together? I am fascinated by these ideas and am hungry to learn the theories needed to attempt to explain them. I welcome the prospect of spending time and effort working with the scientific community to achieve a wider appreciation of the world we live in and trying to attain a level of understanding as high as is possible in a single lifetime.

My main interest within physics lies in quantum mechanics. About two years ago I was shown a video on the Internet by an astounded friend that explained the results of Young’s double slit experiment (using electrons) in relatively simple terms. I was stunned to see that a single electron can pass through two slits at once, but as soon as its path is observed it ‘decides’ to act in a completely different manner! My ignorance of the topic created a desire for me to learn more about this astonishing idea and so I read ‘Quantum: A Guide for the Perplexed’ by Jim Al-Khallili. From this brilliant book I learnt about the way in which the electron transforms into a probability wave or “wavefunction” and interferes with itself after diffracting out of the slits. The book then introduced me to complex applications of this experiment and, along with various magazine and Internet articles, I clarified for myself intricate ideas such as Schrodinger’s cat and quantum entanglement. I also read ‘The Trouble with Physics’ by Lee Smolin in which he describes previous attempts at unification of various ideas in physics, such as the successful unification of electricity and magnetism, or the unsuccessful unification of light and sound. He then goes on to explain one of the current attempts at the unification of all known forces and particles – string theory. I feel that reading on these topics has prepared me well for undergraduate physics and I am excited at the prospect of studying at a higher level.

To familiarise myself with how physics can be used practically, I requested a visit to the Quantum Optics and Laser Science Research Group at Imperial College London. I assisted a PhD student and his supervisor every day for three weeks in their ion-trapping project that aimed to shed light on quantum computing. My main job was to build a circuit to power an electron beam. The beam was used to form ions from calcium atoms, as ions are more easily manipulated. However, the circuit had to be built in such a way that it would automatically adjust the intensity of the beam to form just the right number of ions.

In my spare time, I am generally found playing the drum kit. After passing Grade 8 with distinction I have taken up teaching and play in four different music groups: a concert band, a jazz group, a brass band and my own funk fusion band. I enjoy performing in and around London and annually touring European countries with the school concert band. To keep fit I play football and table tennis with friends. Competitively, I have represented my school on a number of occasions in football, rugby and athletics competitions.

Studying all three sciences and maths at A-level has given me the opportunity to explore a wide range of different theories, techniques and problems and has provided me with a broad scientific training base from which I wish to develop further. 二、西班牙本科留学条件

1、学历要求

During my stay I was assigned the task of designing and assembling a circuit to investigate the voltage offset and noise created by an operational amplifier. I was also introduced to a silicon microphone, a development which is sure to be significant in the future of electronics, and introduced to all the main stages in the development of a microchip, from design to failure analysis. My forthcoming Advanced Higher Physics investigation will be concerned with the properties of op-amps, the variables that affect these properties, and their applications.

In June, I attended a week-long Headstart course held at the University of Cambridge. We were given a task to assemble and programme a robot to navigate a course, using both dead-reckoning and sensors; I was part of the winning team. The course was thoroughly enjoyable and confirmed that engineering was the subject for me. I have applied to spend my gap year working in the engineering industry, through the Year in Industry scheme. 1.学历

爱尔兰的大学中的本科，接受高中的在读生和毕业生、本科在读生和专科学生的申请，大家需要出示自己的学历证明，不管是在读证还是毕业证，都需要进行公证。

一般毕业生入学考核会相对简单一些，只需要出示毕业证;而在读生则要严格得多，需要接受学校的考核，一般是入学的笔试和面试，合格才能入学，不合格需要先读预科。

2.成绩

然后还会审核学生的成绩，成绩单需要大家前往学校的学生管理处进行开具，需要提前递交申请，而且大家拿出来的材料还需要进行翻译并且接收公证。

一般来说，平均成绩需要在80分左右(满分100分)，国内外的考核方式有差异，需要进行换算，而且要想提升成功率，还需要拿到更高的分数。

二、语言要求

1.普校

二、出发

有的航班在北京办理登机手续时已将下一段的登机牌换好，学生可根据登机牌上的指示找到登机口(GATE)，按登机时间登机。学生可在过境机场游览参观，购一些小纪念品，但切记在航班起飞前30分种到指定登机口等待登机。有的航线需要在中转机场等待通知，一般在飞机起飞前1小时可在电视屏幕上按航班号找到登机口和时间，请密切注意，中转机场没有登机广播。如果有疑问可持机票或登机牌向机场工作人员求助。

六、入境

飞机到爱尔兰后需填写入境卡，将护照一并交给入境官。中国学生需在非欧盟(NONEU)通道排队入境。入境后一般同学校或寄宿家庭在机场大厅等候，认清人名后，随家长回家，沐浴后休息，第二天早上到学校进行分班测试，开始留学生活。
