My current studies have developed transferable knowledge and skills in preparation for further education. Sociology has contributed to my knowledge of issues around equal opportunities e.g. with sexism, racism and ageism in the workplace. Sociological knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods has provided me with grounding in conducting e.g. training needs analyses and employee feedback research. I am able to critically analyse evidence, assess the reliability and validity of data and draw trustworthy conclusions. English Literature has equipped me with literacy techniques, a high standard of written English and the ability to critique texts. Business Studies has given me an insight into the real world of Business by shaping my understanding of how consumers work, how a business runs and more importantly how to generate profit. The business world is a rapidly changing global technological environment that I am fascinated by and I want to enhance my communication skills and creative solution based thinking. The psychology of organisations also fascinates me, and is an area I would like to build on.
My employers have found me highly reliable, a hard worker and able to work with a close team of people. At one company, I was given managerial responsibilities, supervising a team of five staff in the busy summer months at a seaside resort. I dealt with customer complaints, reconciled tills, ordered stock, and made sure the business was working at a high standard. This gave me a true taste and experience of being in authority. Having worked in a range of different companies, I have experienced how different organisations operate; this has given me a varied perspective of approaches in different businesses, in terms of management styles and differences in company ethos.
I want to study Business because in the future I aim to be an independent woman, in charge of my own destiny. My keen interest in Business is demonstrated by my voluntary work helping in Year 10 Business classes at College. 留学法国学生兼职指南
一、资格限制

Graphic Design is always around us, and learning how to communicate in a visual manner has inspired me to learn more about the subject. The words ‘create’ and ‘design’ have always sparked a sense of enthusiasm and excitement within me. From an early age I have always had a creative characteristic which I feel is my most dominant. For many years I have enjoyed designing logos, packaging and coming up with creative campaign concepts. Since learning that Graphic Design is something that I’m driven towards I have gained an interest and spectrum of knowledge about graphic designers such as Milton Glaser, Herb Lubalin and Paul Rand. Their works have inspired me to develop my own skills and have given me an insight as to how to establish a creative mind-set.
Working within the Communications and PR, Film and Graphic Design Departments at Imperial College whilst on work experience, I was able to explore different ways of communicating through social media, film and print design. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Graphic Design team where I was able to see how various software’s were used to develop banners for the university fair.
During my placement I learnt how fundamental research is and how it is conducted during the whole design process. After the placement I was more decisive about wanting to delve into the world of Graphic Design, hence I set about finding a work placement that solely focused on Graphic Design. My second placement was at Virgin Media, where I worked with graphic designers and UX designers and was introduced to the field of digital design. I attended meetings where briefs were being discussed and was able to follow the journey of the graphic designers to witness how they went about delivering the brief; and helping design assets for the website. The placement allowed me to comprehend what digital design consisted of and learn about the works of alternative designers such as UX designers. My enthusiasm for Graphic Design made me want to expand my knowledge, hence I took a Graphic Design course at Central Saint Martins. The course was completely different to my professional work placements. The course prohibited the use of computers and all artefacts were formulated from research trips and materials; making me realise the extent of graphic design. The manner in which I worked was refreshing from constantly collaborating with software. After the course I was able to understand that there are various methods of communicating which do not involve software. In my free time I self-teach myself Photoshop and Illustrator through tutorials. I also enjoy self-initiating briefs for myself, as well as briefs set by agencies such as D&AD, RSA and YCN which provide me with a creative challenge. For example I have ‘restyled street style’ for ASOS, which was a brief set by D&AD. I also voluntarily design logos for businesses, go to contemporary galleries, the Barbican Centre, research trips for my creative briefs and work on my briefs.
I also look forward to the annual London Design Week, where I have become educated about designers and new design processes and am able to draw inspiration upon. I have volunteered helping teach 6-9 year olds at my community art club, which I attended for 3 years. I have achieved the Bronze D of E, had a part time job for one year at a high end retail store and was part of my local netball club where I trained and competed. Completing these activities has enabled me develop a strong sense of co-operation, teamwork, good social skills and commitment which would greatly benefit me whilst studying a degree. I try to seek all possible opportunities to help me advance my skills in Graphic Design, and feel that having the opportunity to take my admiration of design to degree level would be extremely rewarding. 一、费用介绍
首都巴黎的费用会比其他城市贵上很多，宿舍一般收费都在300欧左右，而基础的合租一般也需要400-500欧，有比较好的环境，安全也会得到保障，会成为不少学生的选择。

二、学生宿舍

(1)个人信息(Personal Information)

(4)饮食计划(Meal Plan)

(5)个人调查(Profile)

(6)选择室友(Roommate)
分为两种：已知和未知。如果是已知室友，可以在选择室友部分，填写对方的个人信息，并通过验证、如果是未知室友，那么室友就会根据以上第5点(Profile)进行系统匹配。契合度越高，越有可能成为未来的室友。系统自动呈现出来的室友，也包括其个人信息。因此申请者可通过查看对方信息，请求对方添加自己成为彼此的室友。
(7)住宿定金(Housing Deposit)
如果要求提前缴纳住宿定金，那么这笔费用只是预交的定金而非全额的住宿费，通常费用在0-0不等。全额的住宿费有的大学会要求赴美前交清，而有的大学则要求入学后再交。
(8)申请成功
申请完成之后，会出现最后的确认页面，可能会提醒宿舍分配时间和开放时间，建议保存备档。

三、美国大学住宿须知
(1)申请截止日期

(2)宿舍分配
宿舍和室友的分配一般是通过邮件的方式告知学生。学生可以提前了解，并与未来的室友取得联系。
(3)宿舍开放时间

美国留学机场入境指南
一、飞机进行时
当你还在飞机上时，一般空乘人员会发I-94出入境卡和海关申报单。 I-94出入境卡是美国移民局专用的表格，又称出入境记录卡，它包括两部分，一是入境记录，二是离境记录。如果你不了解如何填写这种表格，一定要请司乘人员帮忙，不要自己随便的填写。对于海关申报单有的在出境前填，有的在飞机上才填，这个视出境情况而异。此外，在漫长的飞行旅途中，要注意好休息，以便能在下机时保持旺盛的精力，因为下机还需要办理一些的手续，因此旺盛的精力也是避免自己犯错的好方法。
二、入境检查手续

一、参加活动

Computing enables me to understand the way in which a system works, and the opportunity to create my own system as part of my A2 unit led me to understand several aspects of computers such as programming, creating databases and working with clients. I have dedicated time to reading research of education, with the book ‘Racism and Education’ in particular standing out as a hugely important collection of essays.
My A2 and AS level choices have equipped me with skills which will benefit my further education and work with young people. English Literature has been a passion of mine since year 7, and means that I have learnt key skills such as analytical techniques and different social perspectives, as well as empathy which is required in understanding the perspective of authors, which is essential for caring for young people. Similarly, History has given me an understanding of the modern education system and principles on which it is based, for example, universality. Psychology has involved a unit specifically focusing on childcare attachments in young children and the effects this can have in later life, and so I am more aware of the importance of high quality care and what that involves e.g. a high level of involvement in the work of each individual child, though of course this is difficult in the context of a classroom of children. Finally, and possibly most importantly, Sociology has given me a grasp of the social context in which we teach, i.e. the effect class, race, and gender have on children, and how teachers are responsible to educate themselves in regards to their own inherent cultural biases, meaning that we can combat the effects which these biases have on young people and our wider society.
