Nowadays, there are more and more moviesbase on the literary masterpiece appeared, especially the popular fiction, werefilmed as TV series and welcomed by audiences. For many pop novels, the TVproducers are set to re-shoot the plays. Reading the original version simplydoes not seem as popular as it once was. As far as i concern, i prefer theoriginal one.

Itis almost impossible to create similar scenes to the original one hundredpercent. Besides, the actor’s performance can not be ignored. Some charactershave a special personality charm; it is a big challenge for actors to recreateit on the screen.

Onthe other hand, movie deprived the pleasure of reading. When we are reading abook, we could create a scene base on the words in our mind, we could imaginethe looks of leading role whatever we like. It is fascinating that the world inthe book reappears in our head. However，the movie is too much intuitive and specific, we could see exactlywhat is on the screen, which is not good for our imagination.

Firstly, I can get more information aboutthe story and the characters in the novels. But a movie needs to display thestory in the limited period of time, usually about two hours. Therefore thedirector have to adopt the important part of the story and abandon the restparts, but these trivial plots draw more interests from the readers.

首先，我能够得到更多关于小说和小说里的人物的信息。但是电影只能在有限的时间里述说故事，通常是两个小时。因此导演不得不选取小说的重要情节并放弃其余的部分，但是这些不重要的情节也许更受读者喜爱。

The second reason is that I can get moreenjoyment from reading novels, especially the procedure of turning the plotsinto varied images in my brain. That is a real fantastic experience. Althoughby watching the movies I can get the concrete pictures and amazing sounds, itis different from my ideas and it makes me a little disappointed. Because themovies shows the directors' thoughts and versions about the novels, which donot satisfied me in the whole. Besides, some directors may do some changes andeven destroy the real stories, I think.

To sum up, I prefer to reading a novel towatching a movie because I can get more joy, more interested plots, and morefantasy experience from reading novels than watching movies.
