Being appointed as Deputy Head Boy in the sixth form was a great honour to me. Through activities such as Lunch duty, I learnt the worth of different leadership skills, and that it is important to treat everyone as an individual in order to get results. I was always keen to stay into the evening to help out at school events.

Socialising is very important to me, and I am always keen to meet new people. I enjoy trying new foods to increase my knowledge of different cultures, and my culinary skills will prove very useful in independent university life. I enjoy travelling, and learning about modern history. Having recently returned from Prague, I visited a concentration camp. This was a moving experience for me, and something I will never forget. Music is one of my biggest hobbies, and I use music to help me unwind and reflect on things. I use the internet to keep up with current affairs and sports news.

I have always been a keen sportsman, representing my school in many sporting activities. I enjoy running, particularly competing in sprint races, but also long distance running as a means of keeping fit. I always try to go for a run every evening, during breaks between my A Level studies. 1、预科

I am hoping to read for a communications, media and culture degree. I find it remarkable, inspiring and a little bit frightening how the media exercise control over our lives, whilst offering rich cultural rewards. I am fascinated by the action and effects of human communications of all kinds and am keen to extend the insight I have gained so far.

My interest in the subject began through my GCSE Media Studies and my knowledge of the subject area has expanded at A-level where I am acquiring analytical skills, helping me unpack and contextualise a wider variety of media forms. I have also been involved in several other media projects, some as coursework and others undertaken independently.Coursework projects have included a magazine for young male teenagers; designing a product and advertising campaign; and producing, directing and presenting a documentary for sixth formers and their parents on the EMA system. As extra-curricular activities, I designed a poster and Internet campaign for one of the school plays and in the absence of any existing school publication, I launched a bimonthly newsletter, aimed at Angley's students. These projects have provided great learning experiences, enabling me to develop print software skills in a creative way.

Other school activities have included, the lead male role in 'South Pacific' and significant roles in 'Oliver' and 'West Side Story' as well as assisting the Performing Arts A-level group perform their comedy show. 英国留学奖学金解读

一、志奋领奖学金

全称是Chevening Scholarship，是由英国政府设置的别的项目，申请需要满足学术和语言的高标准要求，一定要获取专业机构的认可才有资格。

一、 雅思5.5分

This furthers my passion to aid the recognition of Psychology as a viable scientific source.

All areas of Psychology fascinate me as each plays a vital part in explaining the mystery of human behaviour. Social Psychology is particularly engaging in the way it shows the natural, instinctive reactions of humans first hand however I also find the detail, precision and control in Biological and Cognitive psychology equally riveting as the results are often clearer and more generalisable.

I am currently studying four A Levels and all have provided me with valuable transferrable skills that will aid me in the world of Psychology. History involves high order debating and analysis skills which require me to think and make judgements independently. These tools enable me to look at cases from all perspectives and approaches. A large part of my Music course involves in-depth analysis of harmony and motific development, providing me both with mathematical skills and the ability to meticulously interrogate detail. This can be applied to all areas of your course, for example analysing the results of an experiment or evaluating the flaws in a set study. Performance Studies has given me the opportunity to develop strong interpersonal skills, as well as valuable experiences in group work, which combined with my studies in Music has further developed my creativity.

There are many things I enjoy outside of Psychology; the biggest of these is performing. I am currently working towards my Grade 8 Singing and at college I sing in the choir, Chamber choir and Rock choir. I am also the singer for a Jazz group at college, and outside of college I sing in a vocal group called 'Sapphire' formed with school friends. Last year I studied for and passed my Grade 5 theory and I also act, having played roles such as Nancy in 'Oliver' and Jan in 'Grease'.

At school I was a member of the school council for two years and was also voted prefect in year ten. In year eleven my fellow students voted to award me the 'Peer Cup' which I felt both humbled and touched to have won. I also like to raise money for charity whenever I can. Every year since 20xx I have designed and sold t-shirts at charitable music festival 'Helstonbury' which raises money for local causes. I also raised money for Cancer Research, Shelter and the NSPCC through a variety of activities such as carol singing, running a hot chocolate stall at my school, and this year running the Race for Life.
