I believe teachers are given the opportunity to set the foundations of a prosperous future, not only for individual children but for our society as a whole. Although this is a huge responsibility, I also believe that through the education of children, we are able to deliver children the opportunity to find a future which they enjoy, and this is a responsibility which is very much worth working towards. Overcoming the hardships involved in working with young people in such a transitional and dynamic time of their lives will be a challenge, but I believe the reward of seeing children flourish is more than worth the effort and dedication required.
I have chosen this course in particular as it is a vital step in my path towards teaching, and one which can equip me not only with the skills required to teach, but with the skills required to engage pupils in subjects which they require to form the basis of their education [this will be extended once I work out if I am doing a subject joint with education/which subject]. I am extremely interested in the sociological aspect of this course, as it is fundamental, in my opinion, that we understand the social issues surrounding childhood, e.g. the creation of childhood as a concept or racism in education, if we are to more adequately raise children in a society based in equality.
I spend most Sundays caring for my younger cousins (from infancy to the age of 11) which has created a passion for helping the young. Likewise, I spend around four to five hours each week voluntarily helping young people on the website ‘7 Cups’, which involves helping them through issues such as bullying, stress, and family issues. I have dedicated time to reading research of education, with the book ‘Racism and Education’ in particular standing out as a hugely important collection of essays.
My A2 and AS level choices have equipped me with skills which will benefit my further education and work with young people. English Literature has been a passion of mine since year 7, and means that I have learnt key skills such as analytical techniques and different social perspectives, as well as empathy which is required in understanding the perspective of authors, which is essential for caring for young people. Similarly, History has given me an understanding of the modern education system and principles on which it is based, for example, universality. Psychology has involved a unit specifically focusing on childcare attachments in young children and the effects this can have in later life, and so I am more aware of the importance of high quality care and what that involves e.g. a high level of involvement in the work of each individual child, though of course this is difficult in the context of a classroom of children. Finally, and possibly most importantly, Sociology has given me a grasp of the social context in which we teach, i.e. the effect class, race, and gender have on children, and how teachers are responsible to educate themselves in regards to their own inherent cultural biases, meaning that we can combat the effects which these biases have on young people and our wider society.

一、选择公立院校

Graphic Design is always around us, and learning how to communicate in a visual manner has inspired me to learn more about the subject. The words ‘create’ and ‘design’ have always sparked a sense of enthusiasm and excitement within me. From an early age I have always had a creative characteristic which I feel is my most dominant. For many years I have enjoyed designing logos, packaging and coming up with creative campaign concepts. Since learning that Graphic Design is something that I’m driven towards I have gained an interest and spectrum of knowledge about graphic designers such as Milton Glaser, Herb Lubalin and Paul Rand. Their works have inspired me to develop my own skills and have given me an insight as to how to establish a creative mind-set.
Working within the Communications and PR, Film and Graphic Design Departments at Imperial College whilst on work experience, I was able to explore different ways of communicating through social media, film and print design. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Graphic Design team where I was able to see how various software’s were used to develop banners for the university fair.
During my placement I learnt how fundamental research is and how it is conducted during the whole design process. After the placement I was more decisive about wanting to delve into the world of Graphic Design, hence I set about finding a work placement that solely focused on Graphic Design. My second placement was at Virgin Media, where I worked with graphic designers and UX designers and was introduced to the field of digital design. I attended meetings where briefs were being discussed and was able to follow the journey of the graphic designers to witness how they went about delivering the brief; and helping design assets for the website. The placement allowed me to comprehend what digital design consisted of and learn about the works of alternative designers such as UX designers. My enthusiasm for Graphic Design made me want to expand my knowledge, hence I took a Graphic Design course at Central Saint Martins. The course prohibited the use of computers and all artefacts were formulated from research trips and materials; making me realise the extent of graphic design. After the course I was able to understand that there are various methods of communicating which do not involve software. In my free time I self-teach myself Photoshop and Illustrator through tutorials. I also enjoy self-initiating briefs for myself, as well as briefs set by agencies such as D&AD, RSA and YCN which provide me with a creative challenge. For example I have ‘restyled street style’ for ASOS, which was a brief set by D&AD. I also voluntarily design logos for businesses, go to contemporary galleries, the Barbican Centre, research trips for my creative briefs and work on my briefs.
I also look forward to the annual London Design Week, where I have become educated about designers and new design processes and am able to draw inspiration upon. I have volunteered helping teach 6-9 year olds at my community art club, which I attended for 3 years. I have achieved the Bronze D of E, had a part time job for one year at a high end retail store and was part of my local netball club where I trained and competed. Completing these activities has enabled me develop a strong sense of co-operation, teamwork, good social skills and commitment which would greatly benefit me whilst studying a degree. I try to seek all possible opportunities to help me advance my skills in Graphic Design, and feel that having the opportunity to take my admiration of design to degree level would be extremely rewarding. 一、费用介绍
首都巴黎的费用会比其他城市贵上很多，宿舍一般收费都在300欧左右，而基础的合租一般也需要400-500欧，有比较好的环境，安全也会得到保障，会成为不少学生的选择。

Buildings are a necessity in life, and I would like to be the next innovative mind that will produce works as extraordinary as that of Renzo Piano, Sir Norman Foster and Zaha Hadid. Neo-Futurism is a movement that interests me because of the mix between art and technology which can be shown in works such as Wembley Stadium or The Shard. I think this course will let me showcase my creative, team work and IT skills that are fundamental in this field.
Art is a regular hobby of mine, and studying it in school not only made me experiment with different media and techniques, but at A2, it allowed me to think like an artist and understand, for example, the symbolism of a Pre-Raphaelite painting such as Ophelia. Not having studied Art at GCSE meant that I had to learn new techniques such as mono-printing or dry point within a short amount of time and this progress is shown in my AS sketchbooks.
Mathematics is a subject I have enjoyed throughout my school years, however I believe my AS grade does not reflect my full potential. Classical Civilisation was a subject that I thoroughly enjoyed at GCSE. The modules within the course led me to research about the history of architecture during the Greek and Roman periods. I learned about the detail in which buildings were designed, from the frieze on temples to common buildings such as homes and various key elements which reflected a part of their culture.
English Literature allowed me to broaden my knowledge of Literature by studying novels and poems. This subject has also taught me how to understand someone else’s opinion and counteract with a valid argument through essay-writing and class debates. I feel that this quality will be helpful when discussing social and environmental aspects of designing buildings.
Computing enables me to understand the way in which a system works, and the opportunity to create my own system as part of my A2 unit led me to understand several aspects of computers such as programming, creating databases and working with clients. I have been interested in CAD since I was introduced to it briefly during Textiles Technology at GCSE and since then, I have practiced personal projects with programs such as Photoshop and AutoCAD.
I enjoy helping with teaching lower school students as I usually help out in art lessons on a weekly basis and have also taken part in a peer mentoring scheme in which I was able to guide Year 11 students for their GCSE exams. This is something from which I gained an insight about taking on responsibility and having leadership skills. This year I am also part of the Student Council, and as a sixth form student, it is my responsibility to ensure that input from all key stages are being taken into account during organisation of events or simply for new changes.
Volunteering weekly at Cancer Research helps me gain customer service and work as part of a team for an important cause. I also read novels, and often write works of fiction, including topics such as mystery, crime and coming of age.

一、住宿

Likewise, practical work such as dissections and ester synthesis has taught me to be patient. I have learnt to work in a standardised manner whilst being structured in collecting and recording data. Similarly I have learnt to be efficient in my studies and research when I was completing my EPQ on the ethics of drug trials. Whilst researching, I have learnt to work within deadlines and manage my workload in a productive manner which I believe is a key necessity for studying science.
I was also fortunate to do work shadowing in my local hospital focusing on endoscopy, surgery and A&E. I shadowed several medical professionals and I learnt how important it is for them to work together harmoniously especially in diagnosis and prognosis. This experience has helped me understand the responsibilities that a healthcare professional must adhere to ranging from providing a good standard of care and being honest and open whilst acting with integrity.
In addition, I am currently completing my DofE Gold award which allowed me to develop my skills in decision making. This involved both teamwork and individual tasks which required me to be patient and resilient in duties such as cook work and map reading. Similarly, I travelled to Ecuador in the summer of 20xx where I undertook voluntary work. This gave my additional insight to problems that other poorer countries face. During my time there, I gained confidence in speaking and socialising with other people whilst working as a team to achieve a task such as making cement. I try my best and seize hold of every opportunity given to me. In Ecuador, I realised I have a privileged life and I have grown to become more grateful for the things we take for granted.
Whilst in secondary school, when I was a prefect, I was responsible for helping younger students. I have dedicated time to reading research of education, with the book ‘Racism and Education’ in particular standing out as a hugely important collection of essays.
My A2 and AS level choices have equipped me with skills which will benefit my further education and work with young people. English Literature has been a passion of mine since year 7, and means that I have learnt key skills such as analytical techniques and different social perspectives, as well as empathy which is required in understanding the perspective of authors, which is essential for caring for young people. Similarly, History has given me an understanding of the modern education system and principles on which it is based, for example, universality. Psychology has involved a unit specifically focusing on childcare attachments in young children and the effects this can have in later life, and so I am more aware of the importance of high quality care and what that involves e.g. a high level of involvement in the work of each individual child, though of course this is difficult in the context of a classroom of children. Finally, and possibly most importantly, Sociology has given me a grasp of the social context in which we teach, i.e. the effect class, race, and gender have on children, and how teachers are responsible to educate themselves in regards to their own inherent cultural biases, meaning that we can combat the effects which these biases have on young people and our wider society.

Graphic Design is always around us, and learning how to communicate in a visual manner has inspired me to learn more about the subject. The words ‘create’ and ‘design’ have always sparked a sense of enthusiasm and excitement within me. From an early age I have always had a creative characteristic which I feel is my most dominant. For many years I have enjoyed designing logos, packaging and coming up with creative campaign concepts. Since learning that Graphic Design is something that I’m driven towards I have gained an interest and spectrum of knowledge about graphic designers such as Milton Glaser, Herb Lubalin and Paul Rand. Their works have inspired me to develop my own skills and have given me an insight as to how to establish a creative mind-set.
Working within the Communications and PR, Film and Graphic Design Departments at Imperial College whilst on work experience, I was able to explore different ways of communicating through social media, film and print design. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Graphic Design team where I was able to see how various software’s were used to develop banners for the university fair.
During my placement I learnt how fundamental research is and how it is conducted during the whole design process. After the placement I was more decisive about wanting to delve into the world of Graphic Design, hence I set about finding a work placement that solely focused on Graphic Design. My second placement was at Virgin Media, where I worked with graphic designers and UX designers and was introduced to the field of digital design. I attended meetings where briefs were being discussed and was able to follow the journey of the graphic designers to witness how they went about delivering the brief; and helping design assets for the website. The placement allowed me to comprehend what digital design consisted of and learn about the works of alternative designers such as UX designers. My enthusiasm for Graphic Design made me want to expand my knowledge, hence I took a Graphic Design course at Central Saint Martins. The course was completely different to my professional work placements. The course prohibited the use of computers and all artefacts were formulated from research trips and materials; making me realise the extent of graphic design. The manner in which I worked was refreshing from constantly collaborating with software. After the course I was able to understand that there are various methods of communicating which do not involve software. In my free time I self-teach myself Photoshop and Illustrator through tutorials. I also enjoy self-initiating briefs for myself, as well as briefs set by agencies such as D&AD, RSA and YCN which provide me with a creative challenge. For example I have ‘restyled street style’ for ASOS, which was a brief set by D&AD. I also voluntarily design logos for businesses, go to contemporary galleries, the Barbican Centre, research trips for my creative briefs and work on my briefs.
I also look forward to the annual London Design Week, where I have become educated about designers and new design processes and am able to draw inspiration upon. I have volunteered helping teach 6-9 year olds at my community art club, which I attended for 3 years. I have achieved the Bronze D of E, had a part time job for one year at a high end retail store and was part of my local netball club where I trained and competed. 一、费用介绍

Buildings are a necessity in life, and I would like to be the next innovative mind that will produce works as extraordinary as that of Renzo Piano, Sir Norman Foster and Zaha Hadid. Neo-Futurism is a movement that interests me because of the mix between art and technology which can be shown in works such as Wembley Stadium or The Shard. I think this course will let me showcase my creative, team work and IT skills that are fundamental in this field.
Art is a regular hobby of mine, and studying it in school not only made me experiment with different media and techniques, but at A2, it allowed me to think like an artist and understand, for example, the symbolism of a Pre-Raphaelite painting such as Ophelia. Not having studied Art at GCSE meant that I had to learn new techniques such as mono-printing or dry point within a short amount of time and this progress is shown in my AS sketchbooks.
Mathematics is a subject I have enjoyed throughout my school years, however I believe my AS grade does not reflect my full potential. Classical Civilisation was a subject that I thoroughly enjoyed at GCSE. The modules within the course led me to research about the history of architecture during the Greek and Roman periods. I learned about the detail in which buildings were designed, from the frieze on temples to common buildings such as homes and various key elements which reflected a part of their culture.
English Literature allowed me to broaden my knowledge of Literature by studying novels and poems. This subject has also taught me how to understand someone else’s opinion and counteract with a valid argument through essay-writing and class debates. I feel that this quality will be helpful when discussing social and environmental aspects of designing buildings.
Computing enables me to understand the way in which a system works, and the opportunity to create my own system as part of my A2 unit led me to understand several aspects of computers such as programming, creating databases and working with clients. I have been interested in CAD since I was introduced to it briefly during Textiles Technology at GCSE and since then, I have practiced personal projects with programs such as Photoshop and AutoCAD.
I enjoy helping with teaching lower school students as I usually help out in art lessons on a weekly basis and have also taken part in a peer mentoring scheme in which I was able to guide Year 11 students for their GCSE exams. This is something from which I gained an insight about taking on responsibility and having leadership skills. This year I am also part of the Student Council, and as a sixth form student, it is my responsibility to ensure that input from all key stages are being taken into account during organisation of events or simply for new changes.

Graphic Design is always around us, and learning how to communicate in a visual manner has inspired me to learn more about the subject. The words ‘create’ and ‘design’ have always sparked a sense of enthusiasm and excitement within me. From an early age I have always had a creative characteristic which I feel is my most dominant. For many years I have enjoyed designing logos, packaging and coming up with creative campaign concepts. Their works have inspired me to develop my own skills and have given me an insight as to how to establish a creative mind-set.
Working within the Communications and PR, Film and Graphic Design Departments at Imperial College whilst on work experience, I was able to explore different ways of communicating through social media, film and print design. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Graphic Design team where I was able to see how various software’s were used to develop banners for the university fair.
During my placement I learnt how fundamental research is and how it is conducted during the whole design process. After the placement I was more decisive about wanting to delve into the world of Graphic Design, hence I set about finding a work placement that solely focused on Graphic Design. My second placement was at Virgin Media, where I worked with graphic designers and UX designers and was introduced to the field of digital design. I attended meetings where briefs were being discussed and was able to follow the journey of the graphic designers to witness how they went about delivering the brief; and helping design assets for the website. The placement allowed me to comprehend what digital design consisted of and learn about the works of alternative designers such as UX designers. My enthusiasm for Graphic Design made me want to expand my knowledge, hence I took a Graphic Design course at Central Saint Martins. The course was completely different to my professional work placements. The course prohibited the use of computers and all artefacts were formulated from research trips and materials; making me realise the extent of graphic design. The manner in which I worked was refreshing from constantly collaborating with software. After the course I was able to understand that there are various methods of communicating which do not involve software. In my free time I self-teach myself Photoshop and Illustrator through tutorials. I also enjoy self-initiating briefs for myself, as well as briefs set by agencies such as D&AD, RSA and YCN which provide me with a creative challenge. For example I have ‘restyled street style’ for ASOS, which was a brief set by D&AD. I also voluntarily design logos for businesses, go to contemporary galleries, the Barbican Centre, research trips for my creative briefs and work on my briefs.
I also look forward to the annual London Design Week, where I have become educated about designers and new design processes and am able to draw inspiration upon. I have volunteered helping teach 6-9 year olds at my community art club, which I attended for 3 years. I have achieved the Bronze D of E, had a part time job for one year at a high end retail store and was part of my local netball club where I trained and competed. 一、住宿

I try to consolidate my understanding by further research such as studying the mechanism for diazotisation. Likewise, practical work such as dissections and ester synthesis has taught me to be patient. I have learnt to work in a standardised manner whilst being structured in collecting and recording data. Similarly I have learnt to be efficient in my studies and research when I was completing my EPQ on the ethics of drug trials. Whilst researching, I have learnt to work within deadlines and manage my workload in a productive manner which I believe is a key necessity for studying science.
I was also fortunate to do work shadowing in my local hospital focusing on endoscopy, surgery and A&E. I shadowed several medical professionals and I learnt how important it is for them to work together harmoniously especially in diagnosis and prognosis. This experience has helped me understand the responsibilities that a healthcare professional must adhere to ranging from providing a good standard of care and being honest and open whilst acting with integrity.
In addition, I am currently completing my DofE Gold award which allowed me to develop my skills in decision making. This involved both teamwork and individual tasks which required me to be patient and resilient in duties such as cook work and map reading. His lecture described the various marketing techniques used to promote the film Fast and Furious 7 and I was fascinated to learn about the interplay between traditional forms of marketing and newer digital marketing techniques, and how these overarching strands of the global campaign were realised for individual countries and audiences. I think it would have been exciting to work on this campaign which aided the film to break several box office records and go on to take $1.5 billion worldwide. I hope that one day I will be able to say I worked on such an inspiring campaign and that my marketing ideas could have the sort of influence and impact that would lead to such incredible success.
I currently study A-Levels in Media, Film Studies and English Language. I believe these have taught me many transferable skills as well as providing me with a strong understanding of marketing principles. In Media Studies, I have learnt about marketing strategies used by key media industries and have developed my own marketing campaign to accompany my practical production of a film trailer/music video. In FIlm Studies I have learnt about a variety of marketing strategies used in the film industry from utilising digital technologies for viral campaigns to how marketing can help British film survive in the shadow of Hollywood to how marketing can be used to help create success for foreign films.
